Top ten fitness trends in 2016


Every year the College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) conduct an international survey, to determine what the fitness trends for the following year will be. This year was no different, and the trends for 2016 are ready. According to the 2800 health and fitness professionals who participated in the survey, these are the trends that will designate particularly in 2016:

  2. Body Weight Training
  3. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
  4. Strength Training
  5. Educated and Experienced Fitness Professionals
  6. Personal Training
  7. Functional Fitness
  8. Fitness Programs for Older Adults
  9. Exercise and Weight loss
  10. Yoga
